The FPL Pirate reads public Fantasy Premier League data and gives advice on your squad. This page says exactly what it keeps, why it keeps it, and how to make it stop. Last updated 31 August 2026.

You can use it without giving anything

Linking a squad needs only your FPL manager ID - the number in your own team’s address on the FPL site. It is public: anyone can look up any squad with it, and FPL publishes it in league tables. No account is required to use the app.

If you sign in with Google

Two things are stored, and nothing else:

Your name, profile picture, contacts, calendar and everything else Google offers are not requested and not received. The app asks for the narrowest possible scopes: your sign-in, your email address, and basic profile. It never sees your Google password.

What the app writes down about your squad

Every recommendation is saved before the deadline and marked afterwards against what actually happened - that record is the point of the app rather than a side effect. It holds the eleven suggested, the captain, the transfers considered, and the reasoning behind each. It is stored against your FPL manager ID.

Because a manager ID is public, anyone could cause a record to be written for any squad. Records for squads nobody has looked at recently are deleted automatically.

The weekly email

Off unless you ask for it, on your account page. Signing in does not sign you up.

Switch it on and you get at most two emails a gameweek, both about your own squad: one when the week’s decisions are worth looking at, and a short one before the deadline. They carry your captain, the transfer worth considering, and anything flagged in your fifteen - the same things the site shows you. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared, and there is no tracking pixel in them.

Every one carries a link that stops them, and that link needs no sign-in. The account page works too. The app records which gameweeks it has already written to you about so it does not send the same one twice; that is two numbers, and deleting your account deletes them with everything else.

What your browser keeps

The app sets no cookies and there is no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. Google’s sign-in script is loaded from Google and may set its own cookies on Google’s domains; that is between you and Google.

Who else sees anything

Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train anything. Betting odds are read from a public file; no information about you goes the other way.

Deleting it

Sign in and use Delete account on the account page. That removes your account, your email address, and the full record of recommendations written for the squad it was bound to. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.

If you would rather ask, or you cannot sign in, email fplpiratesupport@gmail.com and it will be done.

Changes

If what the app stores ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no mailing list to be removed from.
